NEW DELHI/DEHRADUN, August 10

Cabinet Minister, Forests and Wildlife, Environmental and Solid Waste Management, Labour, Employment, Industrial Training, Ayush & Ayush Education Harak Singh Rawat met Central Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javedkar during his visit to New Delhi.  The issues of opening Kendriya Vidayalayas in Kotdwar and district Pauri Garhwal were discussed during the meeting where the union minister was apprised that the military cantonment of Garhwal Rifles is established at Kotdwar where the families of ex-service reside in large numbers and apart from 1 lakh retired armed forces soldiers large number of employees working under union government also live here hence their is demand for the Kendriya Vidyalayas.

The forest Minister while in consultation with the Central Human Resource Development Minister said that 9.94 acres land owned by Zila Panchayat at Western Jhandichaid, Patti Haladukhata Kotdwar, has been provided by District Magistrate for the Kendriya Vidyalaya. Following the meeting Commisioner Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan Santosh Mall was given necessary directions in this regard and directed to begin the process without any delay. The Central Human Resource Development said that with this the road to long standing demand of the Kendriya Vidyalaya will become stronger. The forest Minister Harak Singh Rawat along with eco-tourism MD Anup Malik and Sukhdev Singh IFS (Nodal Officer Uttarakhand) discussed with the Director General forest Government of India New Delhi and discussed  about the demarcation of forest land and wild life population in Uttarakhand. He also discussed the issue of CAMPA funding to the state on the occasion. The Director General informed that The Union Government has granted sanction to Rs 118 crores to Uttarakhand and assured of funding worth Rs 2113 crores till next September. The issue of digitizing the forest boundaries was also discussed.

The Labour Minister also met Santosh Gangwar the Union Labour Minister and discussed with him the issue forming the Rajya Karmchari Beema Nigam as a society and grant funds for super speciality Hospital (Medical College) at Kotdwar. The Union Minister assured that the funds for the super speciality Hospital will be provided soon.
