The residents irked at the frequent traffic jam due to the parking of the tourist vehicles by the Hotels at no parking zone created ruckus and alleged that they were facing problem due to the connivance between the hoteliers in question and Police on the road from Bhotia market to MDDA parking gate, on Tuesday. The residents alleged that due to the landslide below the ordinance factory guest house and the resulting traffic jam due to the vehicles parked on the side of the road on no parking zone they were facing immense problems.

Residents informed that when they approached the hoteliers who are allegedly parking the vehicles of the tourists, the hoteliers behaved badly and refused to comply on their demands of taking the vehicles in the available parking area.  The Police department on seeing the anger of the residents challaned the vehicles that were parked on the side of the road here and warned that if the tourist cars are parked on the side of the road then strict action will be taken.

It is to be noted that frequent traffic jam is being witnessed since the sidewall of the Ordinance factory guest house came down due to landslide resulting in mud debris accumulating on the road that has not been cleared yet. The residents said that due to the vehicles parked by the tourists on the side of the road nearby the road becomes congested resulting in couple of kilometers long  traffic jams.

The Police station incharge   Bhavna Kainthola directed the Chowki Incharge Yogesh Chandra Khumriyal to act against those hoteliers who are causing nuisance and creating traffic problem. She also directed to give notice to the Ordinance factory management for remaining the mud debris accumulated on the road.
