As many as 457 Gentlemen cadets, including 74 foreign cadets, passed out from the portals of the Indian Military Academy amid a colourful ceremony on Saturday.

Army Chief of Nepal General Rajendra Chhetri, who reviewed the passing out parade congratulated the GCs on successful completion of their training. The gentlemen cadets earlier displayed their marching skills to the tunes of ‘Col Bogey’ and ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ in front of the historic Chetwode Hall.

General Chhetri said the bond of camaraderie that was established among the cadets during their training would get strengthened in the future.  He also congratulated the award winners on their commendable achievement which is a reflection of their hard work and toil that they have put in while undergoing training here in IMA. Gentlemen Cadets of friendly foreign countries who were also getting commissioned. The coveted sword of honour was bagged by Sachin Kumar Chahar. The gold medal was bagged by Aaditya Neekhara. The Chief of Army staff banner was awarded to Miektila Coy.

The GOC-in-C, ARTRAC Lt Gen MM Naravane and Commandant IMA Lt Gen S.K. Jha were also present.
