MUSSOORIE, June 8
A free eye check-up camp was organized by Aloka Vision Program Bengaluru, Parvitya Jan Kalyan Sansthan Dehradun, Himalayan Institute, Jolly grant with support of Carl Zeiss the eye lens manufacturing company at Kyarkuli village and Bansa Gad area near Mussoorie on Friday.
According to the Executive Director Parvitya Jan Kalyan Sansthan, Madan Joshi around 79 patients were checked up out of which 10 persons will be operated upon after 7 days free of cost. At Basa Gad 48 persons were checked for various eye ailments out of which five persons have been recommended for cataract operation after 7 days. Both operations will be held at Himalayan Hospital Jolly Grant, free of cost. He said that spectacles and other related equipment’s will be distributed free of cost to BPL families after one week. Similar camp will be held in Sainji and Parogi village near Kempty Falls on Saturday.
Dr Shweta Sharma, Dr Nishtha Yadav from Himalayan Institute. Joachim Kuss, Alexander Leube, Nitin Sisodia, Premjeeth Moodbidri from ZEISS Group. And others provided the expertise during the camp.
