Afghanistan cricket team bowled over by Mussoorie’s beauty

MUSSOORIE, June 8

While there are hordes of tourists in Mussoorie right now, a set that got many other interested was the Afghanistan cricket team.

After their impeccable performance at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradoon when the team headed to Mussoorie to visit the popular tourists spot Company Garden, it was a pleasant surprise for the town and tourists.

The team spent a good 45 minutes at the tourist spot which is currently blooming with colorful flowers in various hues.

While Rashid Khan was dressed in a sporty T shirt, his team mates were mostly in Pathani suits. Despite posing happily near the waterfall and flowers with tourists for selfies and giving autographs, the team found time to go to the AC room of the food court to offer their evening Namaz after which they had tea and water.

Rashid Khan who has won many a hearts with his bowling humbly said, “I can’t exactly say how I spin the way I do. I quite enjoyed playing in Dehradoon and loved the support the viewers gave.”

Talking of Mussoorie, he said, “It is a beautiful town. I hope to come back and enjoy more of its natural beauty.”
