DEHRADUN, April 20

The representatives of  New India Assurance Company, led by S. Shankar, General Manager met chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and gave him a cheque of Rs.4 crore under CSR Fund for ‘Kedarnath Utthaan (Uplift) Charitable Trust’ on Friday.

Chief Minister  thanked the General Manager of the company for this important contribution to the Kedarnath Utthaan (Uplift) Charitable Trust. He said that Kedarpuri is being constructed with modern technology and Shri Kedarnath Dham is being given a grand look. Flood security and ghats are being constructed on the banks of Mandakini and Saraswati rivers flowing near the temple, and the ghats will be beautified. The member secretary of the trust Dilip Javalkar informed that till now Rs 6.99 crores have been received under CSR funds. ONGC had approved to give Rs 4.78 crores of which Rs 2.94 crores have been submitted in the accounts of the trust so far. Sarabjit Singh has submitted Rs 5.00 lakhs as assistance in the trust.

Among those present on the occasion were Principal Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Finance Amit Negi, Secretary Tourism Dilip Jawalkar, New India Assurance Company regional head-office’s chief regional manager Ruchir Pant, and regional manager Nand Kishore and others.
