DEHRADUN, April 15
All is set for Char Dham yatra in Uttarakhand. Come April 18 and portals of Yamunotri and Gangotri temples will open marking the beginning of char dham yatra season in the state. This will be followed by opening of portals on Kedarnath and Badrinath on April 29 and April 30 respectively.
Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board has done all preparations for the char dham yatra laying much emphasis on cleanliness. A 218 temporary toilets have been set up on char dham routes to ensure that there is overall cleanliness. Further, a total of 234 sanitary workers have been deployed through the medium of Sulabh International for ensuring effective cleanliness. Other arrangements for managing solid waste have also been done.
To avoid confrontation between pilgrims and shopkeepers, the administration has also asked the dabha owners and other shopkeepers to display the rate list at their shops. The taxi and cab drivers have also been asked to be gentle in their behaviour with the pilgrims.
