MUSSOORIE, March 17
St. George’s College Mussoorie celebrated St Patrick’s Day along with prize distribution ceremony for the graduating batch of 2017 at the school auditorium on Saturday .
A meaningful presentations by the school choir and dance troupe was the highlight of the ceremony held here.
Speaking on the occasion, Reverend Brother Superior J.C. Carroll said that the day was an important one for Patrician institutions both in India and abroad, as well as for the Irish. Later prizes were distributed to the students excelling in academics and extra-curricular activities.
Anmol Gumber was awarded Scholar of the Year. The trophy for Sportsman of the Year was awarded to Md. Zeeshan Alam. Achievers Awards were given to Arnav Kapur and Nirvana Bista for their invaluable contributions to the school in Music and Debating. The award for Manorite of the Year was won by Md. Zeeshan Alam. Trophies and Colours in various subjects and disciplines were awarded to other deserving students. Also present on the day were the brothers of the Patrician community at Manor House, the teaching staff, parents of students who had won awards, special invitees and other guests. The day concluded with the address of Principal Reverend Brother Tomy Varghese and the school song followed by the National Anthem.
