MUSSOORIE, March 12

20 complaints were filed at New tehri and 22 at Uttarkashi during the Janta Darbar held for the complainants in the headquarters of both district headquarters on Monday. The Janta Darbar at New Tehri was chaired by DM Tehri Sonika Singh while at Uttarkashi the Chief Development Officer Vineet Kumar presided over the meeting in absence of DM Uttarkashi Ashish Chauhan who was unavailable due to important meeting being held at Dheradun.

At Uttarkashi Jagdish Prasad Bhatt demanded house under the various government schemes to which CDO Uttarkashi directed block development officer Bhatwadi to provide relief in the matter after physical inspection. Dayal Singh from Chinyali Suad demanded relief following the damage to his house during the heavy rains earlier. The CDO directed the officials to initiate the relief from chief minster’s relief fund to the complainant. Dharm Singh from Kishanpur demanded payment of his pending dues form irrigation department for the work done under district plan. The CDO directed the officials to present the investigation report and initiate the proceedings thereafter. The former student from Manjira Devi polytechnic college Hitanu raised the issue  of non payment of scholarship for the year 2013-14 by social welfare department. Responding to the grievance CDO assured him of necessary action after a detailed investigation.  CDO directed the officials to investigate the complaint raised during the meeting by Rajaram from Maneri Silkura damage to the safety wall at the confluence of Sikura Gaad and Ganga river and diverting the water to the other side. At New Tehri 20 complaints were filed during the Janta Darbar being organised on every Monday as per the directions of District Magistrate Tehri Sonika Singh.

The district Magistrate taking up the complaints filed by the applicants seriously directed the officials to expedite them without any delay.

Several matters concerning National highway, disaster, PWD, Peyjal, rural development, health etc. cropped up during the Janta Darbar here. In the matter concerning rehabilitation, the DM Tehri directed the irrigation department officials to present a complete report in this regard in next Janta Darbar meeting.

DM Tehri in the matter of damaged a Nullah at Bhagirathipuram which was resulting in disrupting traffic directed the SDM Tehri to investigate and expedite the matter subsequently. She said that in the matter the property assessment and villagers affected due to the water levels of RL 835 at Bhald Village she said that rehabilitation exercise would be carried out after the submission of the damage report.  In the matter of providing financial relief to Mohanlal from Saud Uppu talla village in Thauldhar development block and Harpal Singh from Bel Village in Kandi Saud whose house were damaged in natural disaster she said that a demand under disaster budget has been sent to the government and as soon as it is received necessary action would be initiated. She directed the SDM Kirti Nagar to conduct a physical investigation at Village Syalsi Hinsrikhal under Devprayag development block to determine the demand for rehabilitation of the villagers. In the matter of granting pension to statehood agitators she directed the officer incharge to provide pension after thorough investigation.

The villagers from Marwadi under Ghansali Budakedar demanded completion of the incomplete drinking water scheme under Swajal, The Jal Sansthan officials informed that the estimate has been prepared for the project and the work would begin soon after the release of the sanctioned budget. Jagdamba Prasad, Budhi Prasad and Guddi Devi raised the issue of non-receipt of the grant for the shops that came under the All-Weather project at Nagni village. DM Tehri stated that the financial relief would be provided only to those people who have the land registered in their name.

In the matter of UPNL employees working in the community and primary health centers it was stated that the health department has sent a report highlighting some points and further action would be taken only after the direction of the government. DM Tehri directed the chief development officer to investigate the demand of amending the proposal of formulating a committee fololwing the suspension of the former Pradhan at Godadi village in Pratapnagar block. The villagers from Godadi raised the issue of no work being done on the Syansu Gad Motor road even after spending Rs 1.50 crores to which the DM Tehri directed the PWD department offcials to submit the report after physical inspection in one week. Divisional Forest officer Tehri division Koko Roshey, district development officer Bharat Chand Bhatt, Executive Engineer PWD KS Negi, Executive Engineer irrigation Sharad Shrivastava, General manager Industry Mahesh Prakash,district tourism officer Sobat Singh Rana, District Youth welfare officer Harendar Singh Khatri, District Employment officer Vikram, Dr RP Joshi district Homeopathic officer and others were present on the occasion.
