Following Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurating the LED light training programme of women Self-help groups at Thano in Balasundari temple premises of Dehradun a day back, Union Energy Minister R.K. Singh on Thursday in tweet praised the LED light training programme started by Uttarakhand government. In his tweet, the Union minister said that the training programme will not only help the women self-help groups financially but will also help conserve energy.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had promised women participants that the government would help market the products produced by women. He had also announced that the second phase of the training will begin at Kotybagh in Kumaon region shortly. He expected that women who get training would further get expertise in LED light training and such programmes would be taken to the village level to promote self-employment. He said that such initiatives would help local products and help check the sale of Chinese products.
