DEHRADUN, Feb 18
The recently launched Chief Minister Uttarakhand mobile App is proving to be helpful in solving the problems of the public. Based on a complaint filed through this App the state government has taken immediate action to provide electricity to Ratgaon village in Chamoli district.
Pradeep Singh Farswan, a resident of Ratgaon had filed a complaint on the Chief Minister’s mobile app on February 7 mentioning that even after 70 years of independence; more than four hundred families of his village were still deprived of electricity.
Officials in the Chief Minister’s Office told eNewsDesk that the office took immediate cognizance of this complaint and Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) was asked to take immediate action in this matter.
The officials also informed that UPCL conducted an immediate survey of the village and has initiated the electrification work under the Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti Yojna. It has been learnt that tenders for laying of poles and electric lines etc. to the village have been issued.
“It is expected that UPCL would award the tenders by February 28 and electrification work would commence soon,” informed an official of Chief Minister’s Office.
He also told that UPCL officials have assured the CM office that UPCL officials assured the CM’s office that electricity would be provided to the village by June, 2018.
Meanwhile, the complainant Pradeep has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat for taking immediate action.
