DEHRADUN, Feb 2
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat has recalled the close cultural links between Uttarakhand and Nepal.
Rawat was addressing the gathering after inaugurating Indo Nepal Trade Fare and Tourism festival at parade ground that is being organized by Nepal’s Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“Through such events, we can strengthen our relations with the neighbouring countries and explore new platforms for trade and businesses. Our cultural relations are complementary to each other. We should increase our trade along with our friendship”, chief minister said. He urged the people of Dehradun to come to the fair in good numbers.
Welcoming the chief minister Trivendra Rawat, Suresh Rawal, president of Kanchanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nepal said that this is the second time when such exhibition has been organised at joint initiative of Nepal and Uttarakhand. “This is a step taken in order to encourage industry and culture. In the past, our relations with India has been good and we intend to keep the relations in the same manner”, he added.
The exhibition includes attractions from Nepal like idols, auley, churpi, pashmina, gudruk and more. Exhibition also includes handloom, industrial merchandise, export items, agricultural merchandise and more as choices for people to buy.
