Young officers hope for country says Dr Harsh Vardhan

DEHRADUN, Dec 23

Union Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change Dr. Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said that the young officers are the hope of this country and the government has extraordinary faith in the young people who are very much committed towards ethos as well as bright future of this country.

He was addressing the inauguration of IFS (Probationers) 2017-19 Course in the Hari Singh Auditorium of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy. Congratulating the probationers, he expressed his confidence that academy shall prepare them for the tough challenges that lie ahead of the young officers in their career. He said that the forestry is a tough profession and we must appreciate the commitment of the young officers who have opted to join IFS.

The minister later also inaugurated the newly constructed ‘Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Gymnasium’ of IGNFA and admired the infrastructure available there.

Dr.  Shashi Kumar, Director, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in his address welcomed both the minister and Director General forests. He also welcomed the young officers who joined the IFS and said that the young officers should raise up to the expectation of the society and deliver their best to keep up balanced development of the country.
