With the theme Pollution free Dehradun, Doon Cyclothon 2017 was organised in Dehradun on Sunday.
National level and local Cyclists took part in the event. 68-year-old Kamal Dhiman (male) and 64-year-old Vishu Dhiman (Female) were the highest age participants in this Cyclothon. And the youngest participant was nine years old.
Cyclothon was covered with slopes 25 kms, of which six kms off-track was also included. In men’s category Ramesh Bharti finished first in 58 minutes 26 seconds, Done Chag Chouk Chopra stayed in second place with 1 hour and 51 seconds behind them. Yash Dubey finished the race in 1 hour, 1 minute and 43 seconds to finish third.
In the women category, Jyotsna Rawat stood first, she competed in 1 hour 17 minutes 25 seconds. Jayashikha remained in second place, who clocked 1 hour 17 minutes and 28 seconds and Neha Gupta finished the race with 1 hour 22 minutes and 2 seconds and achieved third position. Medals and certificates were distributed too all the participants by the host Thrill zone trust.
