A day after state government announced soft loans for farmers, Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and senior Congress Leader Harish Rawat on Friday termed state BJP government as anti farmer asserting that it was taking no efforts towards ensuring timely repayment of sugarcane dues by sugar mills in the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, former chief minister Harish Rawat said even the paddy procurement policy on part of state government was not proper.
Referring to GST, he said the centre decision to implement GST and also the last year’s note ban were decisions taken in haste. He said it is due to this hasty act, that the centre has to daily bring out some changes in the GST.
He also asserted that people in Gujarat and Himachal were voting to safeguard the democratic principles.
