DEHRADUN, Oct 4
The formal launch of Rispana revival efforts will take place on Nov 6, when chief minister Trivendra Rawat will himself be reaching Shikhar Falls on the Mussoorie foothills, the origin of Rispana river.
Shikar Falls is at a distance of fifteen kilometers from down Derhadun. Besides chief minister, water man of the country Rajendra Singh and Sachidanand Bharti of Pani Rako fame will be present on the occasion. Dehradun district magistrate S.A. Murugeshan has already visited the Shikar Fall site to take stock of arrangements.
A special worship will take place at Shikar falls, where a pledge will be taken to revive the dying Rispana river. Dehradun DM who was accompanied by PWD and Irrigation department officials directed them to ensure cleanliness in the surroundings.
