Doon based student activist group, Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD) has readied yet another wall mural at a busy road junction at Dobhalwala in Dehradun.

Earlier, the particular stretch of the wall was clad with posters and was often a common urination point for locals. MAD members had spotted the wall sometime ago. Ably lead by member Kartik Thakur, alumni of St. Joseph’s Academy and currently a student in Rajasthan, MAD members started washing the wall and then readied a white background for the wall mural. After the sketch was drawn, colours were filled in and yet another wall mural depicting the beauty of Doon Valley was readied.

The wall mural took over a week’s time to get ready. Unfortunately, immediately after the wall was readied, some posters were seen defacing the newly readied wall mural. The posters were consequently removed by members. The local people also shared with members that they had stopped certain individuals from putting any posters on the wall mural and promised full cooperation to ensure that the mural stayed as it was.

Asmita Pant, Vinod Bagiyal, Rahul Guru, Anshika Garg, Akshat Chandel and Yash Raj played a key role in the activity.
