DEHRADUN, June 3

Uttarakhand Kranti Dal has extend support to anti liquor agitation being staged by women in Raipur region of Dehradun.

A large number of UKD workers on Saturday reached the site where a large number of women have been staging dharna protest against the liquor shop. The protesters on Saturday resorted to large scale sloganeering against the state government.

UKD leader N.K. Gusain asserted that the party as per its policy has decided to support agitations against liquor undertaken by women all over the state. “It is part of this policy that we have decided to come to Raipur and extend our support to the agitating women”, he pointed out.

Jaiprakash Upadhyay, Sanjay Chetri, Anjali Uniyal and Vipin Rawat were prominent among the agitators.
