DEHRADUN, March 19: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has begun the much expected reshuffle of bureaucracy with just a single shift. Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash has been given additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary to CM. The order to this effect was issued on Sunday by Secretary Personnel Arvind Hyanki.
In addition, Om Prakash who was also holding the post of Principal Resident Commissioner of the government in Delhi has been relieved from this post but instead appointed as Chief Resident Commissioner of the Government in Delhi. As per the order, Om Prakash will continue to hold charge as Additional Chief Secretary Health, Family Welfare and Medical Education and Technical Education.
Sources have claimed that instead of going for a large scale transfer of bureaucrats at a go, the government is likely to order piecemeal transfers. However, they added that the government was well aware about negative image of many of the senior officials and their transfers are expected sooner than later. They further claimed that to begin with, district magistrates are likely to be transferred soon. This will be followed by bureaucrats posted in the Secretariat.
